Every Tuesday, year-round, you can join the treasure hunt with more than 175 vendors at Root’s Old Mill Flea Market. And then, every Saturday, April through November, join us for Root’s open-air flea market.
Every Tuesday you’ll have the opportunity to bid on live animals, equipment, fresh produce, flowers, and shrubs. Or bring your wares to the auction, where they’ll be showcased and offered to motivated buyers.
Since our humble poultry auction beginnings in 1925, the Root’s Country Market family has been serving the good people of Lancaster County. We invite you to experience all the shopping, bargain-hunting, and antiquing we have to offer.

We are open every Tuesday, year-round. Our hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. April through October and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. November through March.
Tuesday and Saturday! Root’s Old Mill Flea Market is open every Tuesday, year-round, from 6 a.m. until dusk. Root’s Saturday Flea Market is open every Saturday, April through November, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (except for mid-May for the Heart of Lancaster Arts & Crafts Show, Labor Day weekend, and the Root’s Annual Christmas Show the weekend of Thanksgiving).

Our poultry auction happens every Tuesday, with equipment being sold at 3 p.m. and animals being sold at 4:30 p.m. Receiving runs from 8 a.m. until the end of the auction. Our produce auction happens every Tuesday as well, with produce being sold at 1 p.m., flowers at 4 p.m., and shrubs at 6 p.m. Receiving runs from 7 a.m. to the end of the auction.
